Our Roots are Dark (2023)
Our Roots are Dark is a series of raw and expressive drawings in which charcoal, pencil, body and landscape entangle. In the encounter with what is drawn and with landscape, the body takes on a new appearance as 'Earthling': an earthly protest creature imbued with nature, full of emotion, powerful and rebellious. Our Roots Are Dark was also the title of the first solo exhibit to emerge out of my renewed studio practice I am Seedling Seeding at NIFFO Galery.
